Need By Need

Hello, my name is Jonathan Williams and I am the founder and President of Need by Need, Inc. In this section, I would like to give you a little history about why I decided to start this organization and what some of its goals are.

The idea for this nonprofit organization came to me in the summer of 2007 while I was attending a Christian summer camp in Florida called Camp Bigstuf.

During one of the services, I began to think about how many large organizations out there focus on massive goals to help a lot of people (ending world hunger, fighting aids, etc.).

This type of help is needed and very beneficial, but a lot of local and smaller, more immediate goals are also just as important. This is where Need by Need comes into the picture. Need by Need focuses on helping a single non-profit or missionary group with a single need they may have. These groups will be the local nonprofits and the independent missionary groups that normally don’t have a lot of funding.

The goal of Need by Need is to allow individuals to donate money towards a specific need these smaller non-profits or missions have and in the process, also make the individual donor aware of other, non-monetary ways in which they can help the organization.

Need by Need is unique in the fact that we show exactly how your donation will be used. We are able to do this because at any given time we are only collecting funds for a specific need of one non-profit or mission. This allows donors to know for a fact where their money goes and whom it helps.

We are also unique in the sense that we don’t have any paid employees, physical buildings, or large maintenance costs. Everyone is a volunteer at Need does. The majority of our expenses (which are very low) come from using Paypal and yearly registrations we have at the state and federal level.

These limited costs allow us to give large percentages of your donations towards the actual needs. Where most organizations don’t specify where your donation is going or how much ends up staying with that non-profit or mission, Need by Need lets you know.

We feel that if people know how their money will be used, they will be more willing to help out. You, as a donor, will know where your money is going, what your money is going towards, and how you can personally become more involved with the non-profit or missionary group you are helping.

Therefore, it is my hope that you will browse our site and hopefully be able to help out one of the non-profit or missionary groups highlighted, be it financially or through some other non-monetary way.
